LEED NC (New Construction) Services
Basic Service Provided for LEED NC (New Construction), LEED CS (Core and Shell), LEED ND (Neighborhood Development), LEED for Multiple Buildings/Companies, LEED for Schools, LEED for Health Care, LEED for Retail andLEED for Laboratories
Design Phase:
- Analyze and present detail on which LEED program best fits the project.
- Register with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).
- Assist in incorporating all required LEED Prerequisites into the design of the project.
- Assist in reviewing schematic drawings to determine LEED points already achieved.
- Assist in determining what certification level the owner would like to achieve based on budgetary requirements.
- Develop a responsibility task time line for documentation, as it pertains to LEED, for the construction phase through the issuing of the USGBC plaque and certificates.
Construction Phase:
- Conduct a monthly LEED meeting with architect, commissioning agent, general contractor, construction manager, and any other necessary party who is involved with the LEED portion of construction.
- Meet with general/sub-contractors before construction to discuss the LEED program and educate all involved on the documentation process.
- Write and distribute minutes for all meetings involving LEED certification.
- Follow through to insure all documentation is obtained in a timely manner from Owner, Architect, MEP and Civil Engineers, General Contractor, Sub-Contractors, Utilities and consultants.
- Conduct inspections, no less than once per month, to verify LEED process.
- Assist in taking pictures for LEED documentation.
- Assist or write a construction recycling program and recommend waste removal vendors who will provide the necessary metrics for LEED documentation.
- Assist or write the indoor air quality program to be followed throughout the construction process.
LEED Documentation Responsibilities:
- Sustainable Partners, LLC, will be responsible for gathering and documenting all detail as it relates to the submittals documentation, including commissioning and Energy Modeling reports and documentation. This process begins during the design phase and is completed within 90 days of substantial completion of the project.
Commissioning Agent:
- Sustainable Partners, LLC, will insure all requirements of the Commissioning Agent are performed in a timely manner to meet all LEED requirements for the certification.
Energy Modeling:
- Insure all energy modeling meets with LEED requirements and client's approval.
Close Out:
- Sustainable Partners, LLC, is responsible for assembling the final LEED binder for submittal to the USGBC for certification. All follow-up requirements will be addressed by SP with the appropriate parties involved, reviewed with the client, and submitted to the USGBC for certification.
SP will work with the USGBC to receive the certification plaque and certificates in a timely manner.
